Brendan has over 30 years’ experience representing private and corporate clients in all manner of disputes and transactional work.
Brendan has an active practice in commercial and criminal litigation, and is also regularly involved in estate planning, commercial/retail leasing, business sales and purchases.
Practice Experience
In the commercial dispute area, Brendan has represented corporate and private clients in building disputes, partnership disputes and property disputes. In criminal litigation he has represented clients charged with crimes ranging from murder to assaults, dishonesty offences and sexual offences. Brendan has also represented clients involved in Royal Commissions and regulatory authorities such as IBAC and the Legal Services Board.
In the estate planning area, Brendan has acted for individuals with complex financial arrangements in preparation of wills, powers of attorney and trust structures that achieve an overall family group outcome. He has represented both executors and claimants in estate litigation and administration of estates.
In the areas of leasing and business sale agreements Brendan acts for small to medium size enterprises in both retail and commercial leases on behalf of both tenants and landlords. His work in business sales and purchase is for small business operators.
